Local Resident Joins Outlaws Front Office

Mason City (IA) Since the rebirth of Junior A hockey in Mason City, many local residents have had the North Iowa Outlaws impact their lives in a variety of direct and indirect ways. Sami Orthel-Reason of Mason City is no different, and it's partially due to the fact the team has meant so much to her that she wants to insure its growth in the community.

As such, Outlaws' general manager Steve Strasheim is proud to welcome Orthel-Reason as the team's new ticket sales associate. In this role, Orthel-Reason will help coordinate various ticket packages for fans during the upcoming season.

"Its great to have someone with Sami's enthusiasm for the team join our staff as she has the perspective of being a fans the past two seasons" said Strasheim. "This is just another one of the ways we are growing the franchise this year and Sami is a major part."

Born on a farm outside Titonka, IA, Sami has been married for five years to Brad Reason and together they have a young son named Dakota. "I look forward to helping an organization that has done so much for my son the past two years" added Sami.

Outside of hockey, she enjoys spending time with her family, crafting and reading.

The Outlaws begin the 2008-2009 season at the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, MN September 17-20.
