Alabama Steeldogs News Release

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Listen up Steeldogs fans, we need your help in the fight against pediatric cancer. On July 22, the Birmingham Steeldogs are teaming up with Children's Hospital to celebrate Children's Hospital Night during the Steeldogs home game versus the Memphis Xplorers.

Earlier this season, several patients at Birmingham's Children's Hospital took part in a special activity to design a Steeldogs jersey. The design chosen was manufactured and will be worn by the team during the July 22 game. The team chose a design by Audry, a six-year-old girl from New Hope, Alabama. Her jersey features a grey background with black numerals, orange arm and neck bands and an orange flower.

Following the game, the jerseys will be auctioned off to the highest bidders with proceeds benefiting pediatric cancer research at Children's Hospital. For more information, please contact the Steeldogs Front Office at 205-458-8833 or Children's Hospital's Emily Hornak at 205-939-5841.
