Local Businesses Rush For Rapid City Rush

Rapid City Rush News Release
20 local businesses become corporate partners of Rapid City Rush. Since its commencement in August 2007, Rush management has been busy soliciting the support of local sports enthusiast and recently the support of local business owners.
"The overall response we've received from local businesses has surpassed our expectations. We are delighted at the level of participation we've begun to receive at seven months out from the start of the season," Assistant General Manager Tim Hill stated. "Rapid City is proving to be a great community to launch a professional hockey team."
The most recent organizations to join forces with Rush are: Bank West, Black Hills Community Bank, Budweiser, Clayborne, Loos, Strommen & Sabers, and McKie Automotive. Since the first of the year, Best Buy, Black Hills Regional Eye Institute, Croell Redi-Mix, First Western Bank, Miller Lite, Rapid City Journal, Subway, Watiki Indoor Waterpark Resort, Wayne Dalton and The Weight Room have all agreed to a level of sponsorship. 1st Choice Realty, LLC, Avalon Construction, Black Hills Interiors, LLC, Howard Johnson, Mandalay Homes, LLC, and Scheels were the first businesses to sign agreements with the Rush organization.
Corporate partnerships range in various levels of participation and each partnership contains unique parameters specific to that organization and their level of involvement. Corporate opportunities include In-Arena Advertising with the most common products being Dasherboards which encircle the inside of the ice arena or On-Ice Logos, Team Partnerships which may include Uniform Patches and Player Appearances, Print Advertising in various Rush literature, In-Game Branding to include game night sponsors, promotional events and Video and PA Partnerships, and Tickets. In other Rush news, Coach Joe Ferras anticipates signing his first player within the next six weeks and will heavily pursue players throughout the early summer months. The team is slated to start play the third week of October and anticipates the first game on home ice will be played the first week in December.
Season tickets are still available for sale, but some sections have already sold out according to General Manager Jason Rent. "We encourage people that are interested in season tickets to buy now before the rush really begins," Rent said. "We have three trained sales professionals that will gladly assist in picking out seats for this year's Inaugural Rush Hockey Season." To reserve your seats call 605-716-PUCK (7825).
