
Local All-American Lineman Assigned to the Brigade

Rochester Brigade News Release
(Rochester, N.Y.)-Rochester Brigade head coach Mark Saunders announced that he has been assigned local standout OL/DL Mike Condello from the arenafootball2 league office. Condello is a Section V Rush Henrietta graduate and Brockport State All-American.
"Mike (Mike Condello) is a guy who did a great job in his athletic career and hopefully will be able to come in and be an impact player for the Brigade," stated Saunders. "Plus it's always nice to sign local talent."
Condello, 6'3, 280 lbs., played three season at Brockport State where he started all 13 games as a senior and led his team to the NCAA Division III Quarterfinals in 2002. During his senior campaign, Condello set the single season school record with 18 sacks for 105 yards and the all-time school record with 25.5 sacks. Overall, Condello registered 66 tackles (34 solo), 28 tackles for a loss of 134 yards and three pass breakups to go along with his record setting 18 sacks his senior season. For his career he played in 28 games, registering 108 tackles (43 solo), 37 tackles for a loss of 162 yards, one forced fumble and three pass breakups.
Condello was named to the 2002 Associated Press Little All-America team as a second team selection, representing the top players from NCAA Division II and III and the NAIA. He was selected to the First Team of the Don Hansen's Football Gazette 2002 NCAA Division III All-American team, as well as being selected to the all-america teams by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), Hewlett-Packard and D3football.com. Condello had the honor to participate in the Aztec Bowl, a Division III All-Star team selected by the American Football Coaches Association that represents the United States versus Mexico.
