
Lizards Add 12 in 2016 Supplemental Draft

Garden City, NY - The nine teams of Major League Lacrosse today completed the Supplemental Draft for the 2016 season. The New York Lizards added 12 players to their roster in preparation for the season.
With their first pick of the draft, 18th overall, the Lizards selected Midfielder Jordan Hall.
"Jordan is someone who has proven that he produce as a big time scorer and playmaker," said Lizards Head Coach, Joe Spallina. "We are excited to have him playing this upcoming summer."
Other notable pickups from the draft include Cody Jamieson and Michael Kimmel.
Among other transaction activity today, the Lizards completed a trade with the Charlotte Hounds sending goalie Charlie Cipriano to Charlotte for a third round 2016 Collegiate Draft pick (24th overall).
"Trading Charlie was not an easy move. He proved to be a great teammate," said Spallina. "This will provide Charlie with the great opportunity to start in Charlotte - an opportunity he deserves."
These 12 new players will join the rest of the Lizards team when training camp kicks off in mid-April. New York's 2016 season will start on Saturday, April 23rd at James M. Shuart Stadium in a Championship rematch against the Rochester Rattlers.

Jordan Hall (midfield): Played in 10 games for the Florida Launch in its inaugural season; named Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year at University of Delaware
Brian Megill (defense): Played in 15 games between 2014 and 2015 for Chesapeake, set a program record at Syracuse with 37 caused turnovers as a sophomore, earning unanimous All-Big East first team honors
Steve Dircks (defense): Played in 2 games with Rochester in 2015 and 4 games with the Lizards in 2014
Cody Jamieson (attack): Jamieson was traded to New York from Charlotte after the 2014 season but remained on the injured reserve list with a season-ending injury
Michael Kimmel (midfield): Played 5 seasons with Chesapeake before a trade sending him to New York; played 6 games with New York in 2014; at Hopkins Kimmel was only the third midfielder in Hopkins history to net 30 points in all four years with the Blue Jays, joining Paul Rabil
Mike Malave (midfield): Played one game in the 2015 season with the Lizards; selected 46th overall by New York in the 2015 Collegiate Draft
Bo Stafford (attack): Appeared in 14 games, starting 10 at attack for Georgetown University; scored 13 goals and led the team with 18 assists, while picking up 24 ground balls
Cam Flint (midfield): Played 7 games with Boston before being traded to Denver for the 2014 season where he also played 7 games; netted 13 goals over both seasons
Adam Rand (faceoff): Played 3 seasons with Chesapeake before being traded to Rochester and then back to Chesapeake in 2015; ranked third in NCAA Division I history in face-offs won and second in attempted while at Stony Brook
Sean Brady (goalie): Played 3 seasons with the Lizards and 102 minutes in the net; played 3 years with Duke University before transferring to Stony Brook - contributing 1 year in the net
Chris Madalon (goalie): Started four seasons for UNC; made 145 saves and allowed 133 goals for a save percentage of .522 in his junior year
Max Van Bourgondien (midfield):Played all 13 games of his junior year at Cornell; selected 86th overall by the Lizards in the 2015 Supplemental Draft
