London Lightning News Release
(ALBANY, NY) - The London Lightning's perfect start and chances of setting a league record is over as they fall to the Albany Patroons, 97-90, Thursday night in Albany.
It was a game of runs as London gave up a 12 point lead in the third quarter to go down by as many as 14 points before losing by just 7 points. The Bolts shrugged off a typical slow start in the first to head into the half-time break with a narrow 53-47 lead. Unfortunately for the Bolts, the issues that have plagued them all season, poor free throw shooting and poor outside shooting, were too much to overcome as the home town Patroons held London to just 14 third quarter points.
London makes their way back to Canada to take on the KW Titans in Kitchener Saturday afternoon before a Sunday matinee matchup with the visiting Flint United at the Budweiser Gardens. London is now 2-1 against US-based teams on the season.
