(BRAMPTON, Ontario) - Today, at the Powerade Centre, the London Lightning were defeated by the Brampton A's, 95-87. This was the first game in the best of five playoff series.

"We fought hard, but we never got over that hump," said Garrett Williamson. "This is playoff basketball, it's going to be tough but come Wednesday, we'll be ready for them."

Williamson contributed 18 points and seven points.

Stephen McDowell also contributed 18 points and veteran Elvin Mims chipped in the team's only double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds.

The Lightning play game two of the best of five series on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Budweiser Gardens. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets quickly as the Lightning are expecting a large crowd.
