(Saint John, NB): Lightning struck in Saint John Sunday afternoon as the London Lightning scored a road win against the Saint John Mill Rats with a score of 81-70 at Harbour Station in front of 2,084 fans.
The Lightning led most of the way with the Mill Rats continuing to claw back and make it a fight. However, the Lightning players executed down the stretch to pull away in the end.
Saint John Mill Rats forward Antoine Tisby said: "We played a hard game and are still working on getting everything together. We have a group of guys that have never played together before. We have a few days to go back to the drawing board and work on the little things - small details."
The Mill Rats got contributions from Antoine Tisby with 19 points and Anthony Anderson with 14. Tim Ellis led the Lightning with 18 points followed by Shawn Daniels and Eddie Smith both with 15 points.
The Mill Rats will play their second home game on Thursday, November. 10th against the Summerside Storm. After their first home game of the NBL Canada season, the Mill Rats are now 0-2 for league standings, while the Lightning improve to 3-0.
