London Lightning News Release

(LONDON, ON) - The London Lightning of the National Basketball League of Canada announced Friday the signing of American guard, Kam Williams, for the 2023 season.

Williams joins the Bolts after playing parts of last season with the Albany Patroons of the TBL and in Denmark's BasketLigaen with FOG Naestved where he averaged 17.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 28 games. The 6'2 Baltimore native has made stops in Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, Portugal, and Denmark during his young career.

The former four-star high school prospect and number two ranked player in Maryland was a college teammate of Lightning center, Amir Williams, at Ohio State during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons.

"With Kam, we're getting a player with a great pedigree playing at Ohio State. He's a young guy and we expect him to be a big contributor and make an immediate impact. Kam is a high character person and will fit in with our championship culture from day one." - Head Coach Doug Plumb.

The Lightning training camp gets underway on January 6th with more players and a full training camp roster to be announced in the days leading up to camp. Lightning season tickets are now on sale with single-game tickets set to go on sale next week.
