
Lightning Overcome Five in Win

(LONDON, ON) The London Lightning defeated the Sudbury Five 100-93 in a Sunday afternoon match. The third time playing the Five in seven days, the Lightning finished off the mini-series with two victories.
The Lightning took command of the game right from the beginning. A strong first quarter helped set the tone for the rest of the game, as the team would hold strong to maintain its lead throughout.
Leading the team offensively was Canadian Jaylen Babb-Harrison. Babb-Harrison had a team high 24 points, while adding two steals and three assists. Also chipping in was Xavier Moon and Marvin Phillips, who added 19 and 17 points respectively.
Head Coach Elliott Etherington was very proud of his teams performance down the stretch. "I really like the way we executed down the stretch. It really put the game together. We played good solid defence from half court against a high scoring team."
