Lightning Leave Halifax Empty Handed
(Halifax, NS) - The London Lightning were defeated in game 2 by the Halifax Hurricanes on Tuesday night. The Lightning battled hard in the first half going into halftime tied at 41 a piece but it was the inside presence of White, Watson and Brown that proved to be too much in the second half for the Lightning to keep pace. 100-91 was the final. The Lightning trail the best of 7 series 2-0 and now travel home to play Thursday night.
Garrett Williamson led the way with 21 points, Julian Boyd had a Double-Double with 18 points and 14 Rebounds, Mo Bolden and Doug Herring Jr. both chipped in 12 and Kirk Williams Jr. finished with 11 off the bench.
The next London Lightning home game is Thursday, May 10th at 7 P.M. against the Halifax Hurricanes for game 3 of a best of 7 series. Tickets are available at www.lightningbasketball.ca or the Budweiser Gardens Box Office.
