(LONDON, Ontario) -- Thursday night at Budweiser Gardens, in front of 4416 people, the London Lightning beat the Windsor Express 104-98.
London's record is now 16-4, the best in the league. It's the Lightning's third win in a row.
Akeem Wright had 19 points for the team lead, adding eight rebounds and five assists.
Ryan Anderson and Warren Ward both had 17 points and shot 50 per cent from three point range.
The Lightning took a 24 point lead into the half, but the Windsor Express climbed back in the second half.
A late game three-pointer from Ryan Anderson broke a 98-98 tie and sealed it for the Lightning.
"At the end we grinded it out. To lose that type of lead and then have the ability to win after, I take pride in our guys being able to make plays and do that. They stayed the course in the last few minutes," said coach Kyle Julius.
London now heads to Windsor to take on the Express on Saturday night.
London's next home game is next Wednesday, Feb. 24 against the Niagara River Lions. Wednesday also marks Damian Warner Day with the Lightning. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets to see and support Damian as her prepares for the 2016 Olympics in Rio. Tickets are still available through the Budweiser Gardens box office and online.
