LIGA MX to Announce First 14 LIGA MX All-Stars That Will Play against MLS in the 2022 MLS All-Star Game Presented by Target

NEW YORK - LIGA MX will today name 14 players to the LIGA MX All-Star roster that will compete against the MLS All-Stars in the 2022 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target on August 10 at Allianz Field in Saint Paul, Minnesota (8:30 p.m. ET / U.S.: ESPN, Univision; Mexico and Latin America: ESPN; Canada: TSN, TVA).
LIGA MX's first 14 selections are the nominees for the Balón de Oro awards within the categories of Best Goalkeeper, Central Defender, Full-Back, Defensive Midfielder, Attacking Midfielder, Forward and Rookie. Balón de Oro is LIGA MX's ceremony to honor the league's best following the Apertura and Clausura seasons.
The 14 players will be named during the LIGA MX Summit 2022 at approximately 2:20 p.m. ET. Media and fans are welcome to watch live online at https://summit.ligamx.net/.
The complete LIGA MX roster will be unveiled after the Balón de Oro ceremony on June 25 when the Head Coach of the Season award recipient is announced. The winner of this award will select the remaining players of the LIGA MX All-Star squad to be announced at a later date.
