Lewis To Speak At Alabama Sports Festival

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., June 19, 2003 â Huntsville Flight head coach Ralph Lewis will speak during the Athlete Leadership Summit prior to the Opening Ceremonies of the Alabama Sports Festival XXI Friday, June 27, at the Von Braun Center.
Lewis, who recently completed his second season with the Flight and first as their head coach, is a native of Philadelphia, Pa., and played in the National Basketball Association for both the Detroit Piston and the then expansion Charlotte Hornets.
Lewis will speak to the 1,200 athletes that are expected to be in attendance. Dr. Jan Davis, Director, Flight Projects Directorate, Marshall Space Flight Center, will also speak at the program which is slated to begin at 5:30 p.m. The Opening Ceremonies will take place following the Athlete Leadership Summit, beginning at 7 p.m. in the VBC.
