Halifax Rainmen News Release
This Wednesday morning Halifax Rainmen President & CEO, Andre Levingston and Head Coach Les Berry left for the Premiere Basketball League Draft in Chicago.
"We're looking to draft big," said Levingston. "We're looking for players with some size and length to allow us to compete with the "bigs" of Oklahoma and Rochester."
The Draft will take place on Thursday October 28 at Sox Park, and will be attended by representatives from each team in the PBL. Halifax Rainmen fans will have the opportunity to watch the Draft via a live streaming Internet broadcast at 8:00 pm CST on AtSportsTV.com.
Levingston and Coach Berry have been actively scouting new prospects since last March. Levingston says many players are eager to play in Halifax because of its positive reputation for having strong fan support and a highly professional game venue.
With the sixth pick in the first round and the fifth pick in the second round secured, the franchise is optimistic about the opportunity to select stellar players.
