
Levesque, Saulnier and Gibson named TELUS three stars of the week

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, February 28, 2011 - Forwards Gabriel Levesque and Allain Saulnier as well as goaltender Christopher Gibson today were named the TELUS three stars of the week for the period extending from February 21 to 27.
Acadie-Bathurst Titan forward Gabriel Levesque is the first star after a great offensive run in which he scored a goal and added ten assists in only three games. The 20 year-old forward played his best game against the Montreal Juniors on Wednesday, contributing an assist on each of his teammates' goals in a 7-5 loss. Levesque was named the game's first star.
Moncton Wildcats right-winger Allain Saulnier is the second star after scoring four goals and adding four assists in three games. Moreover, he posted an impressive +6 rating. Saulnier was at his best against the Val-d'Or Foreurs at the air Creebec Centre on Friday, collecting three points in a 6-4 victory.
Chicoutimi Saguenéens' netminder Christopher Gibson continued his remarkable play of late and gets the nod as the week's third star. Gibson went 3-0 while posting a 1.00 goals-against-average and .966 save percentage. The goaltender enjoyed his best outing versus the MAINEiacs, stopping all 36 shots in a 3-0 win. He leads the QMJHL with a 2.05 GAA.
