Kentucky Retros News Release

The Kentucky Colonels should easily be ably to deliver a knockout in their February 11th home game with Detroit. That's because the Colonels will have boxing's four time champion of the world Roy Jones, Jr., known as "pound for pound" the best boxer in the world, as the celebrity 11th man.

Amassing a record of 49 wins (38 KO's) against 2 losses Jones, Jr has held world titles in four different weight classes: He is the former IBF Middleweight World Champion, former IBF Super Middleweight World Champion, former WBC Light Heavyweight World Champion and the former WBA Heavyweight World Champion.

There will also be a contingent of several hundred people from the Kentucky Special Olympics in attendance that night as well.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
