SALT LAKE CITY - Utah Blaze WR Aaron Lesue has been named the National Guard MVP of Week 7, as voted on by the fans. The honor marks the third award Lesue has earned this week, as he also garnered the AFL Playmaker and Cutters Catch of the Week awards.

Lesue (5-11, 190, Utah State) amazingly pulled in over 73,000 votes from fans after hauling in 11 receptions for a career-high 166 yards and four scores in a 63-62 victory over the Iowa Barnstormers last Friday night. The performance continues Lesue's streak of recording multiple touchdown receptions in every game this season.

"It's an honor to receive any award, but it's especially rewarding when it comes from the fans because they make this game possible," said Lesue. "We have so many great supporters in Salt Lake City and I'm humbled to know they voted for me. I give credit to all of teammates because they put me in a position to be successful."

Lesue has been on record pace this season and is currently the AFL leader in scoring (23.3 ppg), touchdowns, and touchdown receptions. In six games, he's delivered 59 receptions for 617 yards and 23 touchdowns. Lesue will take the field again this Saturday when the Blaze hit the road to take on the Milwaukee Mustangs. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 PM MST.

The Utah Blaze (4-2) versus the Milwaukee Mustangs (2-3) can be seen live in the Salt Lake City area on KMYU (Dish/DirecTV Channel 12, Comcast Channel 22). It can also be streamed live online through Usteam by visiting www.utblaze.com/LIVE.
