Las Vegas Legends News Release
Las Vegas, NV - This Saturday night, March First, the Las Vegas Legends host the San Diego Sockers in the 2013/14 Pacific Division Quarter Final. The Legends repeat as Divisional Champions in their Second year in the league. This game marks a rivalry that developed quickly between the seasoned league champions and the burgeoning Las Vegas Legends who some say have much more speed than the veteran roster from San Diego.
San Diego and the Las Vegas Legends each went 13-3 and also split their season series 1-1 with both teams winning on their opponent's home turf. The Legends earned a first round bye and home field advantage in the second round by outscoring San Diego 17-16 in the season series. The winner will advance to the Ron Newman Cup Final Four in Chicago on March 15th.
Two Legends players this week were also given the Honor of All League First Team. #9 Enrique Tovar, who set a new PASL record with 40 assists and finished one point behind Efrain Martinez (Chicago) with 62 points. Tovar's teammate Alex Caceres, #89, piled up 25 goals in 13 games and both players scored at least one point in every appearance.
Saturday's game is guaranteed to be high scoring and action packed. Tickets are available in advance at the Las Vegas Sportspark (1400 N. Rampart Blvd. - Summerlin) or ordered over the phone at 702-233-3600.
