Legends look to new year

December 9, 2008 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA)
Canton Legends News Release

The 2009 game day schedule is out on our web site as we look to new leadership on and off of the field. Coach Rashan Hall and Jamar Martin will lead the players with Lisa Gardner heading up the dance team.

Since 2005 the Canton Legends Indoor Football organization has attended dozens of events in our community and have made hundreds of contributions, donating over 15,000 tickets to underprivileged and non profit groups. We have made many personal appearances with Slappy our mascot, Players, Dance Team and the front office has even assisted many times from walk throughs at the Workshop to the Hall of Fame Parade.

The Legends have a 501c3 foundation in place to assist children and those with special needs with literacy programs, camps and clinics. Some of the true McKinley Legends of Canton lead by Coach Hall, Jamar Martin, Mike Doss, Tyler Everett, Kenny Peterson and Reggie Corner are part of Canton's rich football heritage. These are some of the most successful athletes to ever come from our community. These are the some of the guys who have and are playing at D1 colleges and in the NFL. These are the guys you know, admire and followed their careers. These are exciting times for our community, knowing some of Canton best Bulldogs are participating with the Canton Legends to insure the Legend's dream of the future becomes a reality of today. President elect Obama states our country needs hope and change now, which the Legends Foundation fully supports by providing those with special needs and underprivdged children the opportunity for both hope and change now.

Please contact our office if you would like a special appearance and meet a few Legends.

We continue to strive to get better as an organization. Winning the championship in 2006, going into our 5th season, and having stronger relationships with the Legends of Canton will allow us to work even closer with organizations of needy children in the future. For more information, please contact our office at 330 453 8440.
