Canton Legends News Release
Most of us know the Legends are not kicking off this year, but we continue to get calls for season tickets. If you have ever experienced a game at the Legends, you probably had some good things to say win or lose. We put a tremendous amount of time, effort and resources to make it a great family community event. Our success of winning the championship in 2006, second place in 2007 and certainly struggled in a few areas in 2008 has allowed us to meet many of you. With the privilege to meet NFL greats in Chris Speilmen, Bernie Kosar, Brady Quinn, and affiliated ourselves with local greats Bobby Olive, Ed Korns, Jarmar Martin and Rashan Hall, not to mention outstanding talent, both players and dance team who have visited our community, many hoping to make this a place called home.
For our nonprofit organizations who we proudly partner, have received over 16,000 tickets for underprivileged groups in the last four years. Knowing we have made an impact in the community, almost 200 organizations have sent thank you notes and cards to us for donations, tickets, visiting schools or having us participate at their events.
Our dance team continues to workout and make appearances at Canton South High and Lehman Alumni Dinner planning to be a big part of the 2010 season. They will continue to perform and be part of the community at grand openings and festivities upon requests.
Our sponsorships have certainly been battered in these challenged times and a select few individuals have come along side to make a difference for many.
We look forward to returning in 2010 season better than ever, but it will take a community effort. I encourage your comments so we can print them in the paper, put on the radio and provide our officials your input to help bring the Legends back in 2010 with sponsors and season tix holders over the next two months. Please forward this to anyone who has experienced a Legends game for their input. With over 5000 photos taken on game day in the last four years, we are posting many on our web site for your review. http://www.cantonlegends.com
We want to hear from you to help us determine our plans for the 2010 season.
Receive special benefits, a game day football or other gifts by random drawing in our weekly drawing newsletter. This week it was a Legends game day jersey won by Mike Rogers of Clearchannel.
