May 1, 2011 - International Basketball League (IBL)
Albany Legends News Release

Albany's Damone Morris came out of the gate fast with a jumper and a free throw just 3 seconds into the game enroute to his season best 31 point game high scoring mark to celebrate his birthday, but the Gary Splash shot an amazing 62.3% from the field, including 85.7% from beyond the arc to spoil the party and take the final game of the 3 game weekend set 127 - 122 over the Legends.

Albany took a 4 point lead 35-31 after the first, but only had a 1 point 62 - 61, lead at the break with Lloyd Johnson dropping 16 points off the bench to pace the defending champions. Out of the locker room, Albany extended the slight lead to 8 up 81-73 with 6:16 left when the Splash handed off to Peter Dunbar whos baseline drives accounted for 10 of the next 24 splash points and the 3 point lead at the end of the 3rd - 97-94. The balanced scoring attack of Gary which placed 6 players in double digits extended the lead to 10, before an Albany rally lead by Emanual Mayben's pair of threes and a jumper form Morris cut the lead to 2, 117 - 115 with 3:30 left to play. That was as close as Albany would get as the Splash closed the game out on buckets by Robert Eldridge, and TJ Jackson enroute to the 127-122 win

Morris lead all scorers with 31, with Mayben and DeAndre Thomas adding 20 each for Albany. Lloyd Johnson also dropped in 18 on the night. Dunbar and BJ Walker matched up with 24 each to pace the Splash, as Reynoldo Howard Jr. added 19, TJ Jackson, 16, Robert Eldridge 13 and James Boyer 11 for Gary

Albany returns to action Friday night as the Oregon Waves come cross country to face the Legend, Game time 7 PM at Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) in Colonie.
