League announces 2005 tryout camp

Durham, NC ---The Can-Am League announced today that the 2005 tryout camp will be March 23-24 in Fort Worth, Texas. The camp will be held at LaGrave Field, the home of the Fort Worth Cats.
All participants are required to pre-register for the tryout. If you do not pre-register, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to participate. The cost to try out is $10, which can be paid by credit card only. No checks or money orders will be accepted.
Check-in is at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday March 23. A limited group of players will be invited back for a scrimmage on Thursday March 24. Field managers from both the Can-Am League and Central League will be attending the camp. A dispersal draft will be held after the scrimmage.
In order to participate in the camp, players must have prior professional baseball playing experience or have played at least two years of college baseball within the last two years.

Player Hotel for the tryout camp is The Park Central Hotel, with a $49.00 rate. Contact Peter Dawson 817-336-2001 for hotel reservations. The Park Central Hotel is located at 1010 Houston Street in downtown Fort Worth. Players are responsible for their own transportation and lodging.
