Leading Scorer Tejchma Returns for 2008-09 Season

BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced on Thursday that they have signed forward Jason Tejchma for the 2008-09 season at a press conference at Marig's Mexi-Cali Grill and Sports Bar. Per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Acquired early in the season via trade from Wheeling, the 5-10, 180-pound Tejchma led the Sea Wolves in scoring with 21 goals and 39 assists in 63 games in the 2007-08 regular season. In four Kelly Cup Playoff games, the Muskegon, Michigan native added three goals and four assists.

"Jason became a stronger player on the ice as the season progressed," said Sea Wolves head coach Steffon Walby. "He was an even better leader off the ice as the team went through its' ups and downs. Jason has put in a lot of hard work this summer, and the great fans of the Gulf Coast will ce rtainly see the results."

Tejchma turned professional during the 2006-07 season, scoring seven goals and two assists in 16 games with Fresno. In 178 games over four seasons at UMass-Lowell, he recorded 40 goals and 56 assists for the River Hawks.
