Law Gets Their Kicks

LAREDO, Texas – The Laredo Law have been assigned kicker Brian Hegnauer (hag-en-hour) by the arenafootball2 league office. Hegnauer is the first player assigned to the Law with prior af2 experience. The Laredo Law 2004 af2 season begins April 3rd, with the home opener set for April 23rd at the LEC. Call the Law ticket office at (956)-726-GAME (4263) or log onto www.laredolaw.com.

Hegnauer kicked in two games for the af2 Quad City Steamwheelers last year.

"I watched Brian on film and I liked his setup and leg strength," said Law head coach Scot Maynard. "He has kicked in the league before and that experience is a very big plus for us."

In 2002 the 5'10" 190 pound kicker participated in 13 games with Quad City and made five field goals with a long of 28 yards.

Hegnauer capped an outstanding four year college career in 2000 with a Division III All-North Region selection as a kicker his senior year at Baldwin-Wallace College. He finished third on the all-time scoring list for the Yellow Jackets.

In four short seasons the af2 has doubled in size from 15 teams to nearly 30. arenafootball2 promotes a fan friendly attitude with autograph sessions on the field for the home team after each game. The af2 and the AFL strictly adhere to a Fans Bill of Rights which is unique to any major sport.
