Edmonton Capitals News Release

Edmonton, AB - The Capitals and St. George RoadRunners began their three-game series at TELUS Field with a marathon game that is technically still to be determined, as the teams were dead-locked at seven after the twelfth inning on Friday night. Due to neighbourhood restrictions, the game will be resumed tonight at 7pm before game two of the series.

Following the conclusion of Friday's game, Saturday Night Movies will return post-game, with A League of Their Own. Fans are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs out to center field to enjoy the movie after the game. To kick off the theme night that also includes Minor Baseball Night, former Rockford Peach, Betty Carveth (Dunn) will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. The Rockford Peaches are the same team that is featured in the movie.
