Milwaukee Wave United News Release

(Milwaukee, WI) – Jacob Ward and Jose Gomez scored goals late in the game to push the Charlotte Eagles past Wave United 2-0 at Providence High School. The two teams had battled to a 0-0 tie until Ward broke open the scoring in the 86th minute and Gomez added a goal just one minute later to secure the win.

Ward converted the pass from Nathan Watkins for his first goal of the season.

Gomez then pushed the game out of reach when he blasted a shot into the back of the net to put the Eagles ahead 2-0. It was Watkins who set up the goal, for his second assist of the evening and Gomez's fourth goal of the season.

Richey entered the game with a record of 6-0-0 and suffered the first loss of his professional career. It was the sixth time this season that Wave United has been held scoreless by an opponent. With the win, Charlotte improves to 6-14-7, while Milwaukee falls to 15-10-0.
