Lakeland, FL (August 31st, 2006) - The Lakeland Tigers season wraps up this weekend as the Tigers renew their rivalry with the Tampa Yankees on Saturday and Sunday night. Each game at Joker Marchant Stadium will start at 6:00 PM.
On Saturday, the Tigers will give out their 2006 baseball card team set to the first 400 fans through the gates. After the game, the Tigers will put on their final fireworks show of the season. Sunday brings free sundaes for all in attendance courtesy of Dairy Queen and kids are invited to run the bases following the final game of the year. At each game, there will be special promotions and events commemorating the final weekend and thanking fans for their support in 2006.
The gates open at 5:00 PM for each game so make sure to arrive early if you want to take home a baseball card set. The 2005 team set featured the first professional card for Tigers pitching phenom Justin Verlander. Don't miss your chance to get the 2006 set.
Lakeland Tigers tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for children (14 & under) and $4 for seniors (55 and over.) Parking at Joker Marchant Stadium is free. Joker Marchant Stadium is located at 2301 Lakeland Hills Boulevard, exit 33 on I-4.
