'Last Blast of Summer' for 2002

INDIANAPOLIS-The "Last Blast of Summer" will be this Sunday night, September 1st at 5:35pm as the Blast host the Calgary Storm in their final game of the season. In the last two games for the Blast, they have stolen one point from two of the top teams in the league. The Blast are looking to finish their 2002 campaign on a high note in preparation for 2003.

It's also "Fan Appreciation Night." The Blast will look to finish off the season with a win in appreciation of their loyal fans.

Plan to arrive early for the 3rd annual Indiana Blast yard sale where you can pick up Blast and Blaze jerseys, shorts and much more. Be sure to participate in the silent auction where you can bid to win the game jersey of your favorite Blast player.

LAST WEEK-On Sunday night the Blast took one of the top teams in the A-league down to the wire. The Blast battled through 110 minutes of grueling soccer to tie the Southeast Divisional Champions the Charleston Battery 0-0 in double overtime.

This is the second week in a row the Blast have tied one of the top teams in the league. On Saturday, August 17th the Blast tied the Rochester Raging Rhinos 2-2 in front of a record-breaking crowd of 4,557 at Kuntz Memorial Stadium.

THIS WEEK-After taking Monday and Tuesday off, the Blast are back at practice the rest of the week. Training is open to both the public and the media. Contact MorSports Inc. for practice times and locations.
