Laredo Bucks News Release
LAREDO, Texas - The Laredo Bucks went 3-0 this past week. The Bucks beat Rio Grande Valley on Friday night on the road 4-1 in Game Three. Saturday night in Game Four on the road the Bucks shutout the Killer Bees 3-0. Monday night Laredo returned home and beat Rio 3-2 in sudden death overtime in Game Five to finish off their first round series, winning four games to one. Laredo will take on the Corpus Christi Rayz in the second round of the CHL Playoffs presented by Westwind Homes. Games One and Two will be at the LEC this coming Monday and Tuesday with a 7 p.m. face off both nights. Fans can take advantage of four tickets for $48. Tickets are currently on sale. Also purchase your 2007 Bucks CHL playoff package or commit a $50 deposit to 2007-08 Bucks season tickets and be entered to win a four day, three night trip to Las Vegas, including air fair for two from Allegiant Air, hotel and $500 spending money. UPCOMING PROMOTIONS
- The Bucks take on the Corpus Christi Rayz in Game One of the second round of the CHL Playoffs at the LEC on Monday. Face off is set for 7 p.m. The first 2,000 fans get a Bucks rally towel courtesy of A-1 Collision Super Center, Westwind Homes, Hillside Nursery and McDonalds.
BUCKS BEACH BASH
- The Bucks are having a Beach Bash during the entire second round against the Corpus Christi Rayz. Fans are encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts and other beach gear when they come to the games. Their will be leis for sale at the games to complete the mood.

BUCKS VERSUS OPPONENT IN REGULAR SEASON
- CORPUS CHRISTI RAYZ -
2006-07 REGULAR SEASON: Laredo went 8-4-1 against the Rayz in 2006-07. The Bucks beat the Rayz 4-2 on 10/21 at the American Bank Center in the season opener for each team. The Rayz beat the Bucks 5-3 at the LEC on 10/31. Laredo beat the Rayz 3-2 on 12/03 with three third period goals. On 12/06 Laredo beat Corpus 2-1 in overtime on a goal by Jeff Bes at the LEC. On 12/22 the Bucks beat the Rayz 5-4 in overtime on a goal by Adam Rivet at the LEC. Kevin Reiter stopped 33 of 34 shots on 01/27 in a 2-1 victory for the Bucks at Corpus Christi. On 01/28 the Bucks blew a 4-1 lead with seven minutes to play and fell 5-4 in a shootout. The Rayz beat the Bucks 3-1 at the LEC on 02/11. Corpus Christi beat the Bucks 6-1 at the LEC on 02/14. Laredo beat the Rayz 4-3 on the road on 02/24. The Bucks rallied for a 2-1 overtime victory on 03/04 at Corpus Christi as forward Serge Dube scored the game winner. On 03/11 the Rayz returned the favor with a 2-1 victory over the Bucks at the LEC. The Bucks closed the regular season with a 5-2 win as Steve Simoes scored two goals.
2005-06 REGULAR SEASON: Laredo went 10-2-1 against Corpus in 05-06. The Bucks were 6-1-1 at the LEC and 4-1-0 in Corpus. Overall the Bucks outscored the Rayz 48-24.
All-time: The Bucks are 46-15-2 all-time against Corpus Christi, outscoring the Rayz 248-148. The Bucks are 24-6-1 at the LEC against Corpus.

WALK OFF WIN
- The Bucks beat RGV 3-2 in overtime on Neil Clark's goal at 3:38 of the first overtime on 04-09 to end the series in five games. It was the fifth series ending overtime goal in Bucks franchise history.
BUCKS FIRST ROUND SUCCESS
- The Bucks are 5-0 all-time in first round series after beating RGV four games to one. Laredo has a cumulative record of 18-8 in first round play.
ALMOST TWO-TO-ONE
- The Bucks out scored RGV 17-9 in their first round series.

- The Bucks are #1 in the CHL playoffs allowing 1.80 goals per game. Laredo was third in the regular season at 2.66 per game allowed.

- The Bucks beat RGV 4-2 in Game Three and 3-0 in Game Four of the first round on the road. Dating back to the regular season Laredo has won 18 of the last 23 on the road.

- The Bucks scored a five-on-three shorthanded goal against RGV on 04/06 in the first round in a 4-2 win. Laredo had just seven shorthanded goals in the regular season, the least in the CHL, and none when down two men.

- The Bucks went 5 for 37 (13.5 %) vs. RGV in the first round of the playoffs, scoring one goal in each game. On the penalty kill Laredo was 25 of 27 (92.6 %).

- After beating RGV 3-2 in sudden death on 04/09 in Game Five the Bucks have won at least one overtime game in each playoff series in franchise history with the exception of the 2005 Southern Conference Finals against Amarillo.

It was the fifth series ending overtime victory in franchise history for the Bucks, who won the series four games to one. Kevin Reiter stopped 18 of 20 shots and got the win to improve to 2-1 in 63:38. Former Buck Jeremy Symington stopped 45 of 48 in a terrific performance in 63:38 and fell to 0-1. With the win the Bucks take a three games to one lead in the series. Marvin made 21 saves for his first playoff shutout and improved to 2-0. His .979 save percentage leads the CHL playoffs. Jeff Van Nynatten allowed two goals on 26 shots and fell to 1-3. FINAL SCORE Laredo 3, Rio Grande Valley 0.

With the win the Bucks take a two games to one lead in the series. Kevin Reiter stopped 21 of 23 shots in 60 minutes and improved to 1-1. Jeff Van Nynatten allowed four goals on 24 shots and fell to 1-2. FINAL SCORE Laredo 4, Rio Grande Valley 2.
