Lansing Ignite News Release
LANSING, Mich. - Lansing Ignite FC will host the first "Ignite The Fight' match on July 13, supporting the American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer. LIFC will be offering $10 tickets in the Corner Box Seats to the USL League One match against FC Tucson, with half of the proceeds being donated to the American Cancer Society.
The match will kick off at 7 p.m. ET from Cooley Law School Stadium, with gates opening at 6 p.m. ET. The first 1,000 fans at the stadium will receive a free vuvuzela, presented by Farm Bureau Insurance.
"Lansing Ignite has a passion for our mission of fighting for a world without cancer," said Kaela Chambers, Community Development Manager for the American Cancer Society, North Central Region. "All of the funds that are raised will help the society fund life-saving research and provide programs and services for those that are battling cancer.
"Without community leaders like Lansing Ignite, the American Cancer Society would not be able to provide rides to chemotherapy or fund our 24/7 hotline and live chat. Every dollar helps save a life, and we could not be more excited to fight along Lansing Ignite."
Led by Head Coach Nate Miller, the youngest head coach across all U.S. professional soccer leagues (MLS, USL Championship and USL League One), Ignite FC has developed an exciting and tough identity to start the season. The professional club is one of the highest-scoring teams in League One, making every match a must-see event.
