Tulsa Talons News Release
The af2 League Office has officially assigned, 5-8, 180 lbs, WR/DB, Jermaine Landrum to the Tulsa Talons for the 2008 Season. Landrum continues his pro career with the ArenaCup Champions for a third season.
Last year, Landrum played in 8 of the 16 regular season games, scoring 62 pts, and recording 52 receptions for 582 yards. On defense, Landrum had a total of 6 tackles (4 solo).
"Jermaine was a very big part of our championship run last season. He is a guy who shows up every day and gives you everything he has. I'm looking forward to another great season from him this year," said Head Coach Mitch Allner. He was a member of the Talons in 2006, but spent his time on injured reserve due to a knee injury.
Prior to his pro career, Landrum was a four-year letter winner for the University of Tulsa, where he recorded 77 career receptions for 815 yards and 2 touchdowns. As a Hurricane, he rushed for 314 yards, returned 75 punts for 679 yards and had a 9.0 average per return. Landrum was ranked fourth in the WAC and 39th nationally in punt returns.
