Omaha Lancers News Release

OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that Friday's home game versus the Sioux City Musketeers will be Military Appreciation Night. As Omaha's first home game since Veteran's Day, all active and retired Military personnel will receive discounted $5 tickets by presenting a valid military ID at either the Qwest Center Box Office or Omaha Civic Auditorium Box Office. Friday's game begins at 7:05 PM with the doors opening at 6 PM.

The Lancers continue one of their busiest stretches of the 2009-2010 season Friday evening when they return home to take on the Sioux City Musketeers. Omaha is currently in the midst of six games in nine days and the Lancers have already claimed victories in each of the first four games of that grinding stretch. Omaha (12-1, 24 Pts.) will also put its league-leading nine-game winning streak on the line Friday against West Division rival, Sioux City (3-7-1, 7 Pts.). The Lancers are currently atop both the West Division and USHL standings thanks in large part to their recent winning surge which has seen Omaha outscore its opposition 44-19 over the last nine contests. Early on, the Lancers are 2-0 against the Musketeers following a 4-1 and 4-3 wins in Sioux City on October 24th and November 7th.

Omaha's busy week concludes Saturday evening as the Lancers head to Sioux Falls to battle the Stampede. Sioux Falls (8-1-2, 18 Pts.) is currently 2nd in both the West Division and USHL standings and has rattled off five consecutive victories coming into the weekend.
