(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Lancers (8-12) will take on the Wichita Wings (7-11) on Saturday night as they continue their push for the postseason. The match will kickoff at 8:35 p.m. at Hartman Arena. The club will remain on the road to face the Missouri Comets (13-8) on Sunday from Independence Arena beginning at 4:10 p.m.
The Lancers can move a step closer to securing a playoff berth with a win over Wichita on Saturday night. They will enter the match with a half game lead over Syracuse for the second and final playoff spot in the Eastern Division. Rochester lost in overtime to Wichita in the first and only other meeting of the season by a score of 19-17.
Rochester will finish up the back end of a two games in two days set when they face Missouri on Sunday. The Lancers and Comets have faced each other just once this season with Missouri coming away with a 13-4 win at the Blue Cross Arena in November. The Comets boast the top two scorers in the league this season. Geison's 74 points lead the league while Byron Alvarez ranks second with 60, just one ahead of Rochester's Mauricio Salles.
Rochester will finish the regular season with matches next week as they return home to close out the regular season with a pair of home matchups against Wichita. Syracuse meanwhile will close out the regular season with three matches at home. Their opponents are Milwaukee (15-2), Wichita and Baltimore (14-5).
Individual game tickets are still available and start at $10 for adults, and children age 12 and under receive free entry for every regular season home game. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Blue Cross Arena box office, at most area Ticketmaster locations including the House of Guitars, the Auditorium Theatre and many Walmart stores.
