Omaha Lancers News Release

Defenseman Nick Petrecki, forward Andrew Conboy, and goaltender Drew Palmisano received USHL honors for the first week in 2007.

Petrecki was named Defensive Player of the Week. Nick had a goal in each of the Lancers' three games last weekend, all wins for the Lancers. He also added an assist in Sunday's win over Lincoln.

Conboy earned Offensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention, earning five points on two goals (both power play goals) and three assists in last weekend's games. He had a +1 player rating.

Palmisano was the honorable mention for the league's Goaltender of the Week award, after backstopping the Lancers to three straight wins (two against Des Moines and one against Lincoln). In the three victories, Palmisano fashioned a 1.95 goals-against-average and had a save percentage of .941.

It's the second straight week of honors for Palmisano, as he was the league's Goaltender of the Week in the week before the Christmas break.
