
Lancers Look To Climb League Standings At Home

(Rochester, NY) - The Rochester Lancers (4-4) will return home this Saturday, December 15 for an afternoon matinee against the Wichita Wings (2-5) beginning at 1:00 p.m. It will mark the first time the two teams have met this season.
Rochester enters the night's action with one of the top home records in the league having won three of four starts on home turf. The Lancers currently reside in fourth place, four games behind the Baltimore Blast who are perfect in eight starts. Rochester, however, is just one game behind second place Missouri, a team they defeated back on December 1. Rochester forward Doug Miller leads the MISL in scoring with 37 points, while fellow striker Mauricio Salles ranks third with 30 points.
Wichita has won two of their last four starts after beginning the season 0-3 and are sixth out of seven MISL clubs. Former Lancer Andrew Hoxie leads all Wings scorers with 21 points.
Saturday marks the beginning of a four game home stretch for Rochester. The club will host Syracuse on the December 22 before welcoming league powers Milwaukee on the 27th and Baltimore on New Year's Day.
