Lakeland Raiders News Release

Antonio Searcy is happy to be back in Lakeland and ready for the season to start. Searcy attended Stranahan High School and then took his talents to Dodge City Community College where he was a dominant defensive tackle. He then later transferred to the University of South Florida where he would have an immediate impact in making the Bulls a better team. After his college career, he earned a spot playing for the Florida Firecats in Arena 2. His professional career also carried him to the Montgomery Bears (AIFA), San Jose Wolves (AIFA) and the Lakeland Thunderbolts (AIFA). While his time in Lakeland, Searcy played a large role in helping the Thunderbolts win the AIFA Championship. We sat down with Antonio and asked him a few questions:

1. How does it feel to become a Lakeland Raider?

"Feels great to be a Lakeland Raider. Its A privilege to get the opportunity to play football again. I Love the indoor game and to have the opportunity to play right here at home makes it even more special. I compliment the Lakeland Raider staff because they are very trust worthy and very persistent towards success."

2. What do you bring to the team to make them a championship team?

" I bring passion, talent, leadership, and excitement to the Lakeland Raider team. I also bring Championship experience to this team. I was a part of the Lakeland thunderbolt Championship team in 2007."

3. What is the feeling you miss the most about football?

"The feeling I miss the most about football is the fans and the ability to show off my talent. There is nothing else that gets me more fired up then some loyal fans."

4. Anything you would like to say to Lakeland Raider Nation?

" Lakeland Raider Nation: I'm a leader by example, a winner at heart! We need your support to witness this championship run!"
