Lake Michigan Admirals Set 2011-2012 Schedule

St. Joseph, MI - The Premier Basketball League released the 2011-2012 season to the public today and the phones were ringing off the hook in the Chicago based league office.

"With the NBA season in jeopardy, I was proud to finish the schedule on time and I'm excited for the Lake Michigan Admirals to tip off their regular season on January 8th, 2012 in Benton Harbor," stated VP of League Operations.

This season will mark the leagues 5th season and so far, every game has been played since the PBL's inaugural season in 2008. The Admirals will play 10 home games and 10 away games with three preseason games starting on November 26th at Lake Michigan Catholic at 6:00pm.

"We are really excited for all of the communities to come out and enjoy high flying, fun filled, family entertainment at an affordable cost," stated team owner Chris Glisson.

The Admirals roster has returning MVP's Odgra Bobo 6'7" SG and Gus Chase 6'5" PF. Also returning from last year's squad is Shane Ross 6'8" PF, Steve "Superman" Strong 6'1" SG, Pete Trammell 6'5" F, and Jay McCree 5'10" PG. Bringing a new dimension to the team is 7'3" Shagari Alleyne from the Philadelphia 76ers and recently from the Harlem Globetrotters. The most exciting news comes from local talent and former Illini Rodney Alexander. He will be joining the squad along with Ferris State and Coloma standout Courtney Blackmore both from Benton Harbor.
