June 10, 2005 - USL First Division (USL-1)
Toronto Lynx News Release

The Toronto Lady Lynx continued their win streak this evening, defeating the Rochester Ravens 4-1 on the road in Rochester.

The first half was a tight encounter, with three goals in the first half hour. Deana Everett found the net in the 17th minute, only to have Rochester equalize in two minutes later through Lacek. Melanie Booth restored Toronto's lead in the 29th minute. It was 2-1 to Toronto as the first half whistle blew.

The second half belonged to Toronto and Kim Warner, who came on after the break. She struck at both ends of the second half, making it 3-1 in the 46th minute, and 4-1 in the 88th. That score remained after 90 minutes. Toronto outshot Rochester 18-13, and forced Rochester into making 10 saves. Tonight's match was quite a clean one, with only 12 fouls through 90 minutes, and no cautions being given out.

Lady Lynx head coach Brett Mosen was full of praise for his team. Lynxsoccer.com spoke to him from Rochester; "I'm delighted. It was our first real test on the road and the girls played well."

Tonight's result leaves the Lady Lynx with 6 wins from as many games, and a firm grip on first place in the W-League's Eastern Conference, Northern Division. Their next game is on the road in Boston against the Renegades on June 17th.
