Charlotte Eagles News Release

(Charlotte, NC) - The Charlotte Lady Eagles hosted the Hampton Roads Piranhas tonight at Waddell Stadium.

Despite controlling much of the pace in the first half, and out-shooting Hampton Roads 8-1, the Lady Eagles found themselves down 0-1 at half time. The Piranhas scored the lone goal of the half in the 44th minute of play. Charlotte turned over the ball deep in their territory and the Piranhas took advantage. Dullum picked up the ball and poked the ball into the goal at the left side.

The thunderstorms rolled in five minutes into the second half and the match was held up for about 45 minutes before play could continue. Following the rain delay the Charlotte Lady Eagles poured on the pressure in hopes of scoring the equalizer. Charlotte had several close opportunities inclunding a few off the post and one goal called back for offsides.
