LA Riptide Release Event Schedule For Home Game on Saturday

CARSON, CALIFORNIA - Thursday, June 21, 2007 - The Los Angeles Riptide of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) today announced the event schedule for their second home game of the 2007 season against the Chicago Machine, set for Saturday, June 23 at 5 p.m. at the Track & Field Complex at The Home Depot Center.
As part of Saturday's festivities, the Riptide will host a pre-game Shooting and Goalie Clinic, honor high school lacrosse players with CIF Night, give away the first of two Riptide Player Cards and host a post-game party at On the Rocks Sports Bar in Redondo Beach.
Prior to Saturday's game, the Riptide will host a Shooting and Goalie Clinic at The Home Depot Center on the game field at 2:30 p.m. Each participant will have an opportunity to practice their lacrosse skills as they receive either a one-hour shooting clinic with Assistant Coach Mike Allan or a one-hour goalie clinic with Assistant Coach Shawn Trell, and will be entered into a shooting/goalie contest at the end of the clinic with the opportunity to win great Riptide prize packages. Participants will also receive a ticket to the Riptide game against Chicago later that night.
The Riptide will offer a discounted ticket to all high school lacrosse players on Saturday as they host CIF Night. The discounted ticket is limited to the first 50 CIF players to register and those players will be able to participate in the Riptide Hi-Stix Line, a pre-game event that allows them to be on the field for the Riptide introductions. The first 1,500 fans in attendance at Saturday's game will receive the first of two Riptide Player Cards. Saturday's card features Riptide midfielder Kevin Dougherty, defenseman D.J. Driscoll and face-off/midfielder Anthony Kelly. The second card will be given out to fans in attendance at the next Riptide home game on June 30.
Following Saturday's game, fans are invited to meet and greet their favorite members of the Riptide at On the Rocks Sports Bar in Redondo Beach (239 North Harbor Drive, 310 379-7438) during the team's post-game party.
The Riptide are also offering AM570 Party Packs for Saturday's game. The packs include two general admission tickets, two cheeseburgers, two beers (or sodas) and access to the Field Level Sand Bar for anyone 21 years or older for just $45. Upgrades are available.
