LA Galaxy II Host Dayton Dutch Lions

CARSON, Calif. (Saturday, June 7, 2014) - LA Galaxy II (7-2-3, 24 points) will host the Dayton Dutch Lions (2-6-2, 8 points) in USL PRO Week 12 at StubHub Center's main soccer stadium at 7:30 p.m. PT as part of a double header with the LA Galaxy who will take on Chivas USA in the SuperClasico at 5:00 p.m. PT. All of the USL PRO action will be streamed live via lagalaxy.com.

Currently sitting in 13th place in the USL PRO standings with eight points, Dayton is coming off a 1-0 deficit at home against the Rochester Rhinos last Sunday after the game saw a two and a half hour delay due to lightning.

In the last meeting between the two teams last month, Los Dos earned a 1-1 draw with the Dutch Lions as Galaxy forward Chandler Hoffman scored his fifth goal of the team's USL PRO campaign. Galaxy II broke the deadlock four minutes before the end of the first half when Bradford Jamieson IV made a brilliant run through the midfield before playing a through-ball to Hoffman who put the ball into the back of the net. Minutes before halftime, a penalty kick goal by Dayton's Aaron Schoenfeld helped the Dutch Lions earn a point at the unveiling of their new home DOC Stadium.

Before facing LA Galaxy II on Sunday, Dayton will first play the OC Blues FC a day before on Saturday, June 7 in Irvine. The Dutch Lions are travelling to the West Coast for a three game trip against the Orange County Blues (Saturday), LA Galaxy II (Sunday) and Arizona United SC (Wednesday).

Los Dos return home after handing the Seattle Sounders FC Reserves their first loss of the season at Starfire Stadium last Sunday. Galaxy II netted the winner in the 76th minute when Aleksandar Djokovic's cross found Hoffman at the far post and he slotted it past Hahnemann for the game's lone goal. Hoffman now has eight goals on the season so far.

Following Sunday's double header, LA Galaxy II will face a quick turnaround when they host Rochester on Wednesday, June 11 at 7:30 p.m. PT at StubHub Center's main stadium.
