CARSON, Calif. - LA Galaxy II (0-3-1) fell to Sacramento Republic FC on the road at Bonney Field Saturday night as a second-half goal from forward Ariel Lassiter wasn't enough to overcome a 3-0 halftime deficit. Galaxy II return home next weekend for a match Sunday, April 19 against Austin Aztex at 5 p.m. PT at StubHub Center's Track & Field Stadium.

Sacramento recorded three goals in the first half, as Rodrigo Lopez, Emrah Klimenta and David Estrada all scored and recorded assists to give Republic FC a 3-0 lead at halftime.

Galaxy II answered early in the second half on a goal from substitute Ariel Lassiter, who scored with his first touch of the match. Galaxy Homegrown Player Raul Mendiola found space on the right side before playing a ball to Lassiter inside the 18 as the forward calmly slotted it in the net. It was Mendiola's third assist of the season.

Despite additional second-half pressure, Los Dos were unable to complete a comeback.

Los Dos are in action next when they return home to StubHub Center's Track & Field Stadium for a match against Austin Aztex on Sunday, April 19 with kickoff set for 5 p.m. PT
