LA Galaxy II Face Orange County Blues FC Saturday

CARSON, Calif. (Friday, July 25, 2014) - LA Galaxy II (10-5-4, 34 points) will travel to face Orange County Blues FC (19-8-11, 24 points) Saturday, July 26 in Week 19 of USL PRO action for a match at UC Irvine's Anteater Stadium, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. PT.

The game marks the third and final time the two Southern California sides will face each other in USL PRO play this season. LA Galaxy II will look to build off of a two-game winning streak, most recently defeating Oklahoma City Energy FC, 1-0 Saturday on the road behind a Raul Mendiola game winner.

Led by head coach Darius Yazdani, the OC Blues are currently in seventh place in USL PRO standings and enter the match vs. Galaxy II following a 3-0 road loss to Arizona United SC. Arizona's Matt Kassel, Long Tan and Kadeem Dacres all notched for Arizona as Orange County were unable to find the net on the evening.

In the last matchup between LA Galaxy II and OC Blues FC, the Galaxy earned a 3-1 victory at the StubHub Center over their local counterparts. After Orange County took a 1-0 lead in the 9th minute on a goal from Edgar Santana, the Galaxy responded with three unanswered goals in the second half as Charlie Rugg, Chandler Hoffman and Laurent Courtois all scored for the home side.

The Galaxy also earned a 3-1 win in their first encounter this year, which was the Galaxy II's first-ever match in USL PRO. Kenney Walker earned a goal and an assist while Charlie Rugg and Daniel Steres added a goal each for LA to give the club a victory in its opening game at StubHub Center.

Following the match against Oklahoma City, Los Dos will travel to Pennsylvania to take on the Harrisburg City Islanders Wednesday, August 30 at 4 p.m. PT in the third match of a four-game road swing.
