LOS ANGELES - Playing their eighth match of the 2023 campaign, LA Galaxy II fell 5-0 at home to Colorado Rapids 2 at Dignity Health Sports Park's Track & Field Stadium on Sunday night.

LA Galaxy Academy

Seven players with ties to the LA Galaxy Academy started in the match against Colorado: Carson Klein, Allan Legaspi, Riley Dalgado, Diego López, Adam Saldaña, Alex Alcalá and Jonathan Pérez. Additionally, four players with ties to the LA Galaxy Academy appeared as substitutes against Rapids 2: Juan Calderón, Adrián González, Brandon Téllez and Javier Zapien. Notably, Zapien made his professional debut, logging seven minutes in the loss to Colorado.

Goal-Scoring Plays

COL - Marlon Vargas (Alex Gersbach), 17th minute: Marlon Vargas took down Alex Gersbach's floated cross and his shot from inside the penalty area was laced into the lower right corner of the goal.

Adam Saldaña and Brandon Téllez each received red cards in the second half of the match against Colorado Rapids 2.
