LA Galaxy II Announce 2023 Player Signings

LOS ANGELES - LA Galaxy II today announced player signings ahead of the team's inaugural 2023 campaign in MLS NEXT Pro. Los Dos will kick off 2023 Regular-Season campaign when they travel to face San Jose Earthquakes II at PayPal Park on Sunday, March 26 (5:00 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass).
LA Galaxy II Head Coach Marcelo Sarvas begins his first full season managing the club, after taking over head coaching duties on Aug. 26, 2022. Sarvas' coaching staff includes Assistant Coaches David Sauvry and Juninho, Goalkeeper Coach Ian Feuer and Video Analyst Grant Heywood.
When the team kicks off March 26, 12 players will have contracts with LA Galaxy II. Six of those players are products of the LA Galaxy Academy: midfielders Alex Alcala, Adrián González, Diego Lopez and Brandon Tellez and defender Carson Klein. Returning players from GII's 2022 roster include Alcala, González, Axel Picazo and defender Ascel Essengue.
Five new additions have been signed to LA Galaxy II ahead of the 2023 campaign: forwards Aaron Bibout (Kadji Sports Academy) and Sergio Villalpando (Ventura County Fusion) and goalkeepers Nolan Anderson (Houston Dynamo Academy, U-17 U.S. Youth National Team), Aaron Cervantes (Rangers FC, LA Galaxy Academy) and Simon Jillson (Loyola University Chicago).
