The Los Angeles Galaxy (0-2-3, 3 pt. - 3rd Western Conference) will travel to Dragon Stadium in Southlake, Texas this week for a match-up against the Dallas Burn (0-2-2, 2pt. - 4th Western Conference. The two teams previously met on April 12, playing to a 1-1 tie. Ronnie O'Brien opened the scoring for Dallas in the fourth minute before Carlos Ruiz equalized for the Galaxy on the half hour.

Los Angeles leads the all-time series 12-9-6, but is just 4-6-4 in games against the Burn played in the state of Texas. The Galaxy enter the game against Dallas off a 2-0 loss to the New England Revolution in the fifth game of their season-opening eight game road trip. Second half goals by Brian Kamler and Taylor Twellman gave the Revs their first home win of the season at Gillette Stadium. The Burn dropped a 3-1 decision to the Kansas City Wizards on the weekend as forward Eric Quill and midfielders Chris Brown and Chris Klein each recorded a goal for the winners, with Dallas forward Jason Kreis accounting for the Burn's only marker.

L.A. GALAXY TO PLAY EXHIBITION MATCH VS. MILWAUKEE WAVE ON MAY 18: The Los Angeles Galaxy will also take on the Milwaukee Wave United of the A-League in an exhibition game on Sunday, May 18, at 2:05 pm (PT) during their opening weekend at Uihlein Soccer Park. It's the first time that head coach Sigi Schmid and the Galaxy will be making an appearance in Milwaukee. Former Milwaukee Rampage goalkeeper Dan Popik, a new addition to the Galaxy in 2003, will make his first trip back to the city where he won an A-League championship with the Rampage in 2002.

SINGLE-GAME TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE: The 2002 MLS Cup Champion Los Angeles Galaxy have announced the club's single game tickets are on sale for the 2003 season at the team's new stadium - The Home Depot Center - located in Carson. Prices for single game tickets are as follow: Sideline ($45), Corner (Adult $30 /Youth $25), Upper Deck (Adult $28 / Youth $20), Goal Line (Adult $22 / Youth $16). Youths are age 16 and under. L.A. GALAXY LEARN WORLD PEACE KING CUP DRAW: The Galaxy, winners of MLS Cup 2002, will face Sao Paolo FC (Brazil), AS Roma (Italy) and PSV Eindhoven (Netherlands) in Group B of the inaugural World Peace King Cup tournament from July 15 through July 22. The schedule for group play was announced on Tuesday, May 6 at the tournament draw, held in Seoul, South Korea. The Galaxy, who will be the first Major League Soccer team to play in this tournament, will open play on July 16 in Jeonju when they meet Sao Paolo. Their second group match will pit them against AS Roma on July 18 in Daejon, while their encounter with PSV Eindhoven will wrap up group play on July 20 in Suwon. CALIFF, JONES SEE ACTION FOR USA AGAINST MEXICO: L.A. Galaxy defender Danny Califf and midfielder Cobi Jones were among those who saw action for the USA in their match last Thursday, May 8 at Reliant Stadium in Houston. Califf played the full 90 minutes for Bruce Arena's side, while Jones came on as a late substitute in the scoreless tie. The match was part of the USA's continuing preparation for participation in two major tournaments this summer. In June the U.S. will square off against Brazil, Cameroon and Turkey in the FIFA Confederations Cup from June 18-29 in France, and the USA will defend its Confederation championship in the 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup to be held from July 12-27 in Boston, Miami and Mexico City.

BURN CONNECTIONS: Burn goalkeeper D.J. Countess is a Sacramento native and attended UCLA before turning pro...Defender Ryan Suarez is was also born in California's capital city and played his college soccer at San Jose State...Dallas midfielder Antonio Martinez, originally from Mexico, spent his college career at Cal-State Fullerton and makes his off-season home in Carson, home of The Home Depot Center...Galaxy defender Ricky Lewis was born in Houston and currently resides in Spring, Texas.

LAST MEETING VS. BURN: Dallas took an early lead in the fourth minute of play, as the Burn's forward tandem of Jason Kreis and Bobby Rhine set up midfielder Ronnie O'Brien for a powerful shot from the top of the penalty arc. Kreis received the ball inside the box from a wide Rhine, laying it into space for the late-arriving O'Brien. The Irish midfielder hit the ball squarely, blasting a rising shot past a diving Kevin Hartman and into the top left corner of the net. The Galaxy equalized in the 30th minute with a long-distance goal from Carlos Ruiz. Hartman sent a long, floating ball down the field, where Ruiz collected in the attacking third. Fighting around two Dallas defenders, Ruiz fired a long, low shot past goalkeeper D.J. Countess to knot the score at 1-1. Despite chances for either side in the last hour, neither was able to net the game-winner.
