KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Backup kicker James Panui nailed a 38-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Kissimmee Kreatures to a 51-48 upset of the previously undefeated Miami Morays in a National Indoor Football League Atlantic South Division game Saturday at Silver Spurs Arena.
Pressed into service after starter Jeff Bacigalupi was injured, Panui made a pair of point afters and the game-winning kick for the Kreatures (2-4), who snapped a three-game losing streak.
Panui also caught four passes for 86 yards and two touchdowns. Andreal Curry rushed for 87 yards and three touchdowns.
Miami (4-1) erased deficits of 14-0 and 48-34 for a pair of ties, the last coming on Leroy McFadden's 1-yard run and a two-point conversion pass from Derrick Vickers to Patrick Rouzard with 1:18 to play.
Vickers finished 237 yards passing with three touchdowns to Ethenic Sands. McFadden rushed for three touchdowns.
