(Rapid City, SD) - On Saturday night, the Fort Wayne Komets avenged the loss from the night before, burying the Rush by a 7-2 score. The Komets received goals for seven different skaters, netting two of their goals on the man-advantage. The Rush now hit the road for a pair of games against the Allen Americans on November 18th and 19th. Both games can be heard live on 100.3FM the FOX.

The Rush started the contest with their fastest first goal of the season, lighting the lamp just 1:05 into the game. Konrad Reeder's diving effort from the left faceoff circle set up Riley Weselowski for the tap-in, earning the defenseman his first goal of the season. The Komets then rattled off four unanswered goals, beginning with two to finish the first. Jamie Milam ripped home a powerplay goal at the midway point before Chris Auger netted his second of the weekend, giving the Komets a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes.

Fort Wayne kept the pressure on, picking up another powerplay goal at 5:18 of the second, on a Jamie Lovell shot from the left-point. Then, after a Rush defensive zone miscue, Komets captain Colin Chaulk backhanded home a rebound from the slot, making it 4-1 nine minutes into the frame. Finally stopping the bleeding for the Rush was Jesse Schultz who potted his team-leading sixth goal of the season, banking home a powerplay goal at the 13:16 mark. However, the Komets regained the three goal advantage when defenseman Frankie DeAngelis poured in his third goal of the season at 15:51.

The Komets added to their lead and put the game out of reach with third period goals from Jean-Michael Rizk and Artem Podshendyalov to secure the 7-2 win.
