
Knights to hold open tryout saturday, October 1st

MACON, Ga. - The Macon Knights will begin to assemble their 2006 roster by holding an open tryout Saturday, October 1st at Christ Chapel @ SportsTowne - the team's official practice and training facility. Registration will begin at 10:00 am.
There will be a registration fee of $55 the day of the tryout, walk-ups welcome (registration fee is non-refundable and includes a T-shirt while supplies last). The Knights organization will take payment in the form of cash, credit card, or by money order/cashier's check made payable to GSE, L.L.C.
Participants need to bring outdoor cleats, athletic shoes suitable for NeXturf and AstroTurf and wear proper athletic attire for both indoors and outdoors (nothing will be provided). Participants will be tested in the 40-yard dash, 20-yard short shuttle, 225 pound maximum repetitions bench press and put through a series of non-contact drills. This tryout is for every position other than kicker as their will be a tryout held specifically for kickers at a later date.
Interested participants can pick up registration forms at the Macon Knights Ticket Office, 170 Starcadia Circle, or visit the Knights' website at www.maconknights.com. Directions: Interstate 75 to Exit 172, east on Bass Road; first right is Starcadia Circle. SportsTowne is on the right, just past Starcadia Entertainment Park.
